Proverbs 22:8-10

New Catholic Bible

⁸ Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity,
    and the rod of his wrath will disappear.
⁹ One who is kindly will be blessed,^[a]
    for he shares his food with the poor.
¹⁰ Banish the scoffer^[b] and strife will cease;
    discord and abuse will come to an end.
